# SQL-011 Policy minimum premium

Calls the Oracle package procedure `pk73069_rating_procs.get_minimum_expense_constant` to retrieve a minimum premium amount and expense constant for a premium-history set, used by `PolicyInformation.PolicyMinimumPremium` ([BR-POL-008](../business-rules.md#br-pol-008-minimum-premium-fail-soft-behavior)). The procedure body could not be retrieved in this environment.**

## Classification

| Field | Value |
| --- | --- |
| **SQL ID** | SQL-011 |
| **Operation type** | Execute (stored procedure, `DataRequestType.NonQuery`) |
| **Execution method** | Stored procedure (`CommandType.StoredProcedure`) |
| **Database** | Oracle |
| **Schema** | `[unqualified]**` — no owner in call text |
| **Command type** | StoredProcedure |
| **Business object** | N/A (Application layer) |
| **Criteria property** | N/A |
| **Lifecycle method** | N/A |
| **Application class** | `PolicyInformation` (`PolicyMinimumPremium` property getter) |

## Parameters

| Parameter | Direction | Type | Max length | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `in_prem_hist_set_id` | Input | Decimal (Oracle `NUMBER`) | N/A | Premium-history set id identifying the rating set to evaluate. Type/length not verified against procedure source.** |
| `out_minimum_premium_amount` | Output | Decimal (Oracle `NUMBER`) | N/A | Minimum premium amount returned by the package; read back via `ParmValue("out_minimum_premium_amount")`. Type/length not verified against procedure source.** |
| `out_expense_constant_amount` | Output | Decimal (Oracle `NUMBER`) | N/A | Expense constant amount returned by the package; bound but **never read back** by the caller. Type/length not verified against procedure source.** |

## Tables

No tables — stored procedure call; body resides in Oracle package `pk73069_rating_procs` (not retrievable in this environment).**

## Sample SQL

```sql
-- CommandType.StoredProcedure; DataRequestType.NonQuery
-- Effective Oracle call:
CALL pk73069_rating_procs.get_minimum_expense_constant(
  :in_prem_hist_set_id,             -- IN   NUMBER
  :out_minimum_premium_amount,      -- OUT  NUMBER
  :out_expense_constant_amount)     -- OUT  NUMBER
```

The call is wrapped in a `Try...Catch` with an empty catch block; any procedure failure is silently swallowed and the method returns `0`. The procedure body resides in the Oracle database and is not part of this repository.**
